In each episode, Connor and Jack recap and discuss that week's chapter before deep diving into the mythology and real-world history that inspired the gods, monsters, and other details from the chapter. Sources referenced during the myth section will always, always be listed in the show notes. New episodes of "Notes from the Oracle" will release bi-weekly on Sundays at 6 pm EST. Chapter 7: I Accept Gifts from a Stranger | The Sea of Monsters

For another chapter where our main characters remain in one place, this one really moves things forward! Let us steal a moment of your time as Jack and Connor break down a chapter filled with intrigue as Percy and Annabeth work together once more to make a plan to save Grover and the rest of Camp Half-blood, battle wits against Tantalus, and meet with Hermes, god of messengers. Chapter 5: I Get a New Cabin Mate | The Sea of Monsters

This chapter's theme? Torment. Percy and Annabeth are finally home at Camp Half-blood, but things aren't the way they left them. Like in Tantalus's eternal torture, our heroes are left wanting from their return to camp. Meanwhile, Connor and Jack are here to brave the exposition, break down all the important details, and complain about Chiron of course! And to round things out, we're learning all about Tantalus's punishment and what he did to deserve it with a detour into the world of his son, Pelops and some examples of chariot racing in Greek myth.
