Notes from the Oracle

"Notes from the Oracle" is a chapter-by-chapter read-through and breakdown of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Heroes of Olympus, and the rest of the Riordanverse that kickstarted our love of reading and mythology. In each episode, Connor and Jack will recap and discuss that week's chapter before deep diving into the mythology and real-world history that inspired the gods, monsters, and other details from the chapter. New episodes of "Notes from the Oracle" will release bi-weekly on Tuesdays. "Notes from the Oracle: Just the Myths" will release on Sundays with, as the title suggests, just the myths from the previous week's episode!

Chapter 6: I Become Supreme Lord of the Bathroom | The Lightning Thief

As Percy Jackson gets his tour of Camp Half-blood from Chiron, Connor and Jack rapidly flip between discussing the things they love about the setting and yelling at Chiron for refusing to give a straight answer at literally every possible opportunity! Alongside that, this chapter features the proper introduction of Annabeth as well as Luke and Clarisse. And to round things out, Connor discusses some of the mythology of the Hermes, patron of travelers and thieves and carrier of a magical snake stick!
